Concert Review
You will choose a performance from the Library of Congress’s Music and Concerts playlist on YouTube–the selected video must be AT LEAST 30 minutes long. You will listen to the performance and describe your listening experience, define the program’s purpose, and begin to draw parallels between the pieces/program to cultural and historical ties. This does not need to be in a standard essay format, but must be clearly written. Brief summaries about the pieces or composers may be used, as well as bullets–avoid copying/paraphrasing any program notes provided; that is plagiarism. The concert review should aim for 500 words and will be graded based on the criteria outlined in the rubric
