How Should a Coach be evaluated?
Write an essay on the following topic: What determines whether a coach is successful or not. Is it wins and losses? For coaches of professional and college teams, this appears to be an accepted standard. What about at the high school level? It can be very difficult determining the appropriate requirements to evaluate coaching performance. There are many factors that need to be considered. Make sure you address the Coach’s preparation. Do you use the “Games Approach” in your practices? Does practice affect performance?
Your assignment is to write a two-page paper on “How the success of a coach should be measured”. Explain what factors, qualities, and characteristics make up a successful coach and program. Be sure to state at the beginning of the section you are writing, the level of coaching your assessment is designed for (e.g., recreation, high school, small college).
All writing submissions should include an APA-compliant Title Page and Reference Page (not included in the page total). Provide at least two scholarly references with your submission. On the Week #2 written assignment, I commented on your Title Page. If it was not APA compliant, I didn’t deduct any points but I shared with you the items that were missing. On this assignment and the remaining assignments, if your Title Page is out of compliance, it will cost you points.
