Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. There are two Discussions Assignments in the course. The students will choose three important concepts for each of these two assignments. The Discussion: Leadership and Management concepts will be chosen from chapters 1-2 from the Satterlee text. The Discussion: Resiliency in Leadership and Management topics will be chosen from chapters 7-8 from the Satterlee text and/or chapters 1-2 from the Dees text. These two topics, Leadership and Management and Resiliency in Leadership and Management will serve as the titles of the two Discussions assignments.
Each student will create a Discussions thread in response to the instructions below. Each thread must be 600-900 words (due by Wednesday of each week) and demonstrate course-related knowledge. Please see the Discussions grading rubric for assignment requirements, which includes additional guidance.
In addition to the original response (600-900 words), the student will reply to the posts of 2 classmates. Each reply must be approximately 250-300 words(due by the end of the respective module). Each reply must also be unique, not recycling the student’s original post or the student’s other reply. Please see the Discussions grading rubric for reply requirements, which includes additional guidance.
This course utilizes the Post-First feature in both Discussions assignments. This means you will only be able to read and interact with your classmates’ threads after you have submitted your initial discussion board response. The Discussions response and replies are due in the same module and are considered one assignment; both must be submitted to be eligible for the full points.
Each post should be written in current APA format, use peer-reviewed references, and must also be written in a substantive manner without fragmented sentences, spelling errors, grammar mistakes, and APA formatting errors (no instant messaging language, please).
· Perform academic research to support your strategies by finding and utilizing 3 peer-reviewed sources in addition to assigned course reading in the text and assigned library and website readings. Research should be performed in the Liberty University Online Library to ensure that peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles are chosen.
· Personal experiences are also encouraged
· Use current APA format.
· Write in third person.
· Write at graduate-level quality.
· The title page and reference list words are not counted in the 600-900 word count requirement.
