Find an ongoing case or a cold case that interests you – your choice. You will use this case as the subject for your Report 1. You can utilize YouTube, Podcasts, Netflix, article(s), Google, etc., to research your case. Develop a list of questions using the 5 W & H – Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How of Investigations covered in Chapter 1. These questions will be questions you have as an investigator, where the answers are not available or unknown. As you develop your list of questions, make sure to take notes while you are researching the case. These notes can be a bulleted list or reflect whatever style you have for note-taking. Your notes will encompass facts provided by your research about the case.
