Using the definitions, explanations, and examples of the various informal fallacies we have in Chapter 3 of Hurley’s book and what you reviewed from the auxiliary book by Moore and Parker, do some web research and find at least 3 examples of a public speaker, politician, newscaster, etc. using any of these fallacies or rhetorical devices.
Give full explanations of the fallacy or rhetorical device for each example and explain why you think the example is a good illustration.
If you find something on YouTube that is your example, perhaps of a personal attack or other fallacy, please include a short explanation of what was said in the video clip in your essay and supply a working link.
You might also find the fallacy or rhetorical device used in an editorial or other source, in which case you can copy the quote too.
